Terms of Service

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Note: this document is a starting draft, not a substitute for review by a lawyer familiar with your jurisdiction — especially the liability and governing-law sections below.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Silent VPN application and related services ("the Service"), operated by Dmytro Trofimchuk, an individual developer ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Silent VPN provides an encrypted VPN connection through client applications for Android, Linux, and Windows (with macOS and iOS planned). A free tier is available; paid plans unlock additional capacity/features and are billed through Google Play Billing where purchased via the Android app.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate this section.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid subscriptions purchased through Google Play are billed and renewed by Google Play Billing according to the plan and interval shown at time of purchase. See our Refund Policy for cancellation and refund terms.

4. No account, your responsibility

The Service does not require a traditional account. Your access is tied to an anonymous subscriber ID generated by the app and, for paid plans, your Google Play purchase. You are responsible for keeping the device/Google account used to purchase a subscription accessible, since that is how a subscription is restored on reinstall or a new device.

5. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access — VPN servers, like any network infrastructure, can experience maintenance windows or outages. We are not liable for losses arising from temporary service interruptions.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

8. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

The governing law for these Terms will be specified here once the Service's operating entity is finalized. If you're a consumer in the EU or elsewhere, mandatory local consumer-protection laws you're entitled to will still apply regardless of this clause.
